AMOS After School is a dynamic after school program for elementary school students (K-5th grade) filled with fun, attentive staff, strong educational programming, enriching extracurricular activities, homework help, and a proud success-based model of community! 

First Grace United Church of Christ is so proud to once again offer a community after school program to help support to the children and families in the W. Akron neighborhoods.

- We're an Ohio Department of Jobs & Family Services licensed after school program. 

- We welcome families eligible for the Summit County Child Care Subsidy to apply for after school care or pay-direct parents.- We're open year-round, including most school breaks!

- We're open from 2:30pm-6:00pm Monday through Friday (during breaks we'll be open from 6am-6pm)

- AMOS programming is offered for Kindergarteners through 5th graders

-Our Child Care Bus picks up students at Portage Path, King, Crouse, St. Mary's and Imagine Schools

We offer the following programming during AMOS After School:

• Homework assistance
• A full computer lab
• A Children's Library
• Art programming
• Game time
• Gym time
• A supper meal is served at 4 pm
• Age appropriate movies during extended breaks and "Reward Fridays"

Applications are required and need to be approved prior to any K-5th grader joining AMOS.  Please contact us to visit and to request an application packet.

Our $55 weekly fee is one of the lowest in the area and includes bus transportation and supper.

K-5th Grade Sunday School

Join our Children's Ministry team for games, crafts, stories, singing, and cooking during Sunday School for K-5th graders.  Sunday School starts shortly after worship begins at 10:45am.  Famlies, please bring your children to worship where we will gather all children during Passing of the Peace for Sunday School.
